One of the reasons I was so intrigued by the field of instructional design was that it was a job that allowed me to continue my focus on education and learning, both for myself and others.

As an extension of this, continuing to learn and improve myself and stay abreast of various tools and techniques is an essential part of my professional path. These are the LinkedIn Courses I have completed partaining to the field of instructional design.

E-Learning Essentials

This course, authored by Samantha Calamari, explains how instructional designers can utilize backward design, andragogy, and LMS features to create effective, accessible learning experiences for online learners.

Creating Video Training

This course, authored by Garrick Chow, was a disappointment, though by no fault of the designer. Several of the videos in this learning path were nearly a decade old, but when talking about concepts such as design models and theory, there hasn't been signficant changes between the video's production and now. However, this course was a technical guide to using software to create videos and has become obsolete in that time.

Storyboarding

This course, authored by Brett Kirkpatrick, has been one of my favorite courses to date. In addition to explaining the benefits of storyboarding; how to lay out storyboards with text, notes for animation, audio, and video; and communicating with various stakeholders, Brett provides templates for storyboards that can be taken and immediately utilized for practice.
